Many students along with parents wonder how do you become the student of the week or what are the guidelines to it.
The guidelines for becoming the student of the week or SOTW are fairly basic and are tied to the Positive Behavior Intervention Systems
that we have in place in the building.
The first part of the selection process is being nominated by a staff member in the building. As a staff we select students based on behaviors tied to our matrix.
The matrix follows three basic principles that we would like the students to practice: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and
Be Ready to Learn.
When a staff member is able to justify a student in these area and convince staff that their nomination is the best choice,
we have a new student of the week.
